How HomeRunner Works
Need a Little? Need a Lot?
The Asset Evaluation
Most buyers get a home inspection done to alert them to any major physical problems with the home before they buy. HomeRunner's Asset Evaluation looks for physical problems, but also finds things a typical home inspection doesn't. Our Super Inspection also looks for ugly-but-not-structural issues (like surface cracks in plaster), opportunities for cost savings (like heating and insulation upgrades that are worth the investment), and estimates the remaining life of appliances and accessories in the home (like a refrigerator on its last legs). HomeRunner then combines the findings from the Eval with our extensive data on maintenance needs of comparable homes in your market to produce a detailed schedule of exactly what needs to be done, how often, and roughly what it should cost.
Want help with that?
For some homeowners, just getting that operating plan is all you need. Great! For others, the list of maintenance tasks in the Asset Eval just feels like a long list of things they don't have time or interest in. For those homeowners, HomeRunner becomes an ongoing partner in actually getting all that stuff done. Our team stays on top of everything that needs to be done - from monitoring your utility costs to overseeing routine maintenance to thinking about whether and when to refinance - so you can just enjoy living in your house, not be exhausted by it.
On-demand Owner's Helper
Homeownership can also be full of (unpleasant) surprises. For busy homeowners, access to the HomeRunner app provides additional support: the ability to get help with unplanned issues. So for things like a new special tax assessment bill, discovering a family of squirrels in the chimney, or damage after a storm, access to the HomeRunner app means that a homeowner doesn't have to handle unexpected issues alone. HomeRunner staff - who know your home's history - can jump in to figure out what's needed, find someone who can provide it, and oversee the problem through to resolution. Any vendor charges will be OK'd by you before any service is provided, and you can - but don't have to - be on site when any work is performed.
